Just what I needed today! A thorough fan-boy tour of the 1980s culture c/o the E.T. movie phenomena. Great energy, spontaneous humor, and some pathos at the end.

This was a wildly chaotic rant that might have come from so many of my friends. I dont know Phil personally, but i'd love to bounce nostalgia around with him any time.

These performers have good memory. Being able to bring up an obscure tidbit from the beginning of the show to deliver a punchline almost 50 mins later is super impressive.

Hilarious and well done. I was once told by a director improv shows can’t have more than one woman. He obviously didn’t know the alderan gals!

Creative to dodge any risk of medical malpractice suits and quick to have intimate relations with lifeless objects, these folks have no fear by implementing the most of absurd takes in scheming, scamming, and defrauding. It's been said that "laughter is the best medicine," and so must be also the snake oil and the skullduggery. Be sure to seek out the next Kids in a Hot Car and get your fix!

This was a roller coaster ride through the emotions. Juice held nothing back and left their heart all over the floor. Showing empathy for all the stages of their life had to have been difficult, but raised both the conflict and my understanding of it. This was incredibly vulnerable and powerful .

This was an amazing journey through trauma. Thank you so much for coming to Elgin and sharing your light!

Both shows were just fantastic! I saw the show late Friday night with a small crowd, and they really filled the space with the feeling. Both shows were challenging, looking at a world that hurts to look at, but both managed to be funny, and even more remarkably, hopeful.

Thoroughly delightful from beginning to end. Would go see again!

The athleticism of the two performers was impressive to say the least. 20 minutes of phenomenal tap dancing flew by due to the professionalism of this amazing duo. A treat!

"It's all about the journey." Jenn took us with her on travels across the country with the children's theater group. It's an intriguing concept and obviously made a big impact on both her life and the lives of the kids who participated. This show seems like it could use just a little more polish so she can connect more with the audience. I'd like to see it when she's off book.

Poetry like this is why I have gotten back into poetry. Mike creates clever evocative imagery with just a few dozen lines and lets you know just where he stands. He also recites in such a conversational voice that you are drawn in to listen, and then are grateful you did.

It's been a while since I've been to a burlesque and this one was a reminder of why I need to start going back. The first performer had remarkable control of their body during the chair work and just a delightfully playful attitude through their whole performance. The featured performer moved like smoke from the lips of a 1930s silver screen seductress. She was fluid and sensual with a touch of naughty that winked at the audience as she wrapped us around her little finger.
The third act was sweet and sassy and all the things you daydream might happen when you go to a show like this.

A fabulous and emotionally challenging piece of therapeutic art. The character’s gradual unraveling is well-paced and runs emotionally deep.

A very well crafted presentation. Mike’s energy and emotional connectedness keeps you riveted to his tales.

I saw the preview which was a little intriguing. Glad I fit them in on Sunday.
They took improve up two notches with the costumes and storyline.

An incredibly funny and clever burlesque performance! Jean shows off his impressive circus, clown, and dance skills with a charming and heartfelt character journey.

This was so much fun! Watching the mix of Real Housewives and Star Wars opens so many doors for hilarity. I came back for a second show to see a whole different season.

This is an amazing and powerful show about survivorship. Svrcek's ability to create a character powers a deeply meaningful story.

The Blue Bird will stay in my head for a long time, trying to put all the pieces together. It left me with a feeling of hope and togetherness, even after a journey that I'm pretty sure included interactions with the four horsemen of the apocalypse

This is an intense twist on Frankenstein - or perhaps, American Psycho - but the correlation with mental illness and transgenderism is off-putting.

We will march with you, you mad genius! This was a fun act filled with devious whimsy. I genuinely enjoyed it.

I knew there was a manual! There had to be. It only makes sense that there's standard rules for something this complicated. Tricia 's show was reassuring that, even if you have a copy of the manual for existence, sometimes the rules just don't work out in practice. And sometimes it's better that way.

This was amazing, beautiful, spare, and heartrending. The characters were distinct even though they shared the same body. I wanted to give Cassie a hug by the end of her tale. Artemisia came through fully realized as a seperate, supportive character.

Extremely well done and a powerful way to kick off Elgin Fringe 2026.

I may have come in expecting a romping spoof on sports fans, but I left moved by the tales told. Kris shares her connection to family through the shared language and focus of sports viewing. A unique show!
