Hi, my name is Lauri Novak. I'm a fine art photographer, and my piece in this show is titled Under the Dearborn Bridge. It's a black and white photo. It taken in the evening along the Chicago River, walk along the Chicago River. Um, it goes towards the lake, the view and the water is kind of smoothed out as it's a long exposure. Um, it was taken a little bit before the Riverwalk was actually completed. So there's some open, uh, open spaces on the, on the overhang that goes over the Riverwalk under the bridges. Um, it's just a simple black and white image showing the river showing the bridge above a little bit, uh, going under it and what you might, uh, experience if you're walking along the Riverwalk. Thank you.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Lauri Novak Photography
Lauri Novak is an award-winning fine art photographer and author. She has an eye for photographing unseen and unnoticed compositions and subjects.
Lauri is often asked, “How did you see that?” She works hard to show different perspectives, unique angles and the everyday details of various subjects.
Lauri’s photography reflects her perspective and personality. “I have always had a bit of a different way of looking at life. I’m not one to go along with the crowd or follow trends. My viewpoint and way of being have pushed through in my work.”
