With passion for reform, Jeannette Rankin was a thorn in the side of the establishment for 93 years of life. In 1916 she was the first elected congresswoman. She cast the only dissenting vote against U S entrance into WWII. She was one of the first to oppose US military presence in Vietnam. She fought for women's suffrage, the children, labor and democracy in business.This is her story, her triumphs and despairs.
