Since colonization, artists of African descent have wrestled with the complexities of their skin.  Considered a “diabolic die” during poet Phillis Wheatley’s time and a “sin” for musician Louis Armstrong. Take a present-day journey through a one-woman show of an artist’s view of her skin as a coat.
