Anna Lentz

Anna Lentz is a visual artist and arts educator living in Dundee, IL. She studied anthropology, women’s studies, and studio art at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, and community art at California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA. She earned her MA in Art Education at the School of the Arts Institute, Chicago, IL. Her research interests include community-based art education, hospitality, and vernacular art. Anna currently practices forest farming, makes art exploring themes of nature and food, writes about living in nature, and manages Spring Bird Cottage and grounds.

So much of my life happens around the table. These pieces showcase the table and its surrounding environment as a stage or an altar for life, its conversations, its sustenance or lack of, and its beauty.
